How to request and import your connections into Job Helper

1. Request your LinkedIn export

  1. Open LinkedIn and go to Me/Your profile picture on the top right of the menu > Select Settings & Privacy.
  2. Then select Data privacy on the left sidebar, then choose Get a copy of your data.
  3. Request the larger archive that includes your connections.
  4. Wait for LinkedIn to email you the download link. The full export can take around 24 hours.

NOTE: The download is only available from LinkedIn for 72 hours, so be sure to download it promptly. Otherwise you will need to request it again.

2. Locate the Connections.csv file

After LinkedIn sends the archive, unzip it and find the Connections.csv file. This is the file you can import into Job Helper to get all your connections in one place.

3. Upload it into Job Helper

Once you have the Connections.csv file, sign up or sign in and go to the "Company Connections" page to upload it.

4. A few extra details

  • Email addresses only appear if your connections allowed LinkedIn to include them.
  • If a row is missing first name, last name, or company, the importer will fill in an "Unknown" value.
  • Invalid dates in Connected On will be defaulted during import.
